When Stark and Bowman couldn’t find leather jackets that appealed to their personal taste, they began to make their own. Sterling silver jeweler Leonard Kamhout soon joined the operation, and the Chrome Hearts brand was launched in 1988. Chrome Hearts gear took Hollywood by storm when members of Motley Crüe and Guns N’ Roses started wearing it onstage, and it’s currently favored by chart-topping artists including Karl Lagerfeld, Offset, Bella Hadid, and Lil’ Baby. Chrome Hearts received a CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year award in 1992, and Cher presented Stark with the award in a full Chrome Hearts fit.

Chrome Hearts opened a flagship store in New York City in 1996 and currently operates 28 stores in locations including Los Angeles, Miami, and Las Vegas. But the brand has no e-commerce presence, and you can only find Chrome Hearts eyewear at approved retailers. Chrome Hearts releases a new line about twice a year, and we hand-pick frames from each collection for our showroom.
